Cappadocia is an area in Central Anatolia in Turkey best known for its unique moon-like landscape, underground cities, cave churches and houses carved in the rocks.
Göreme - located among the "fairy chimney" rock formations, is a town in Cappadocia, a historical region of Turkey. The Göreme National Park was added to the UNESCO World Heritage List in 1985.
The Soganli valley is 55 km far from Goreme. Settlements in this area took place during the Roman times. The Romans used the stone conies on the slopes of the valley as graveyards and the Byzantine as churches.

Ephesus - The Ancient Greek city of Asia Minor, today - West Turkey, South of Smyrna (now Izmir). One of the greatest of the Ionian cities, it became the leading seaport of the region. Its wealth was proverbial.
The library of Celsus is an ancient Roman building in Ephesus. It was built in honor of the Roman Senator Tiberius Julius Celsus Polemaeanus by Celsus' son, Gaius Julius Aquila.
The library was built to store 12,000 scrolls and to serve as a monumental tomb for Celsus. Celsus is buried in a sarcophagus beneath the library.
