Oran, Algeria


Oran is a major city on the northwestern Mediterranean coast of Algeria, and the second largest city of the country. It is closely associated with its neighboring city, Aïn Témouchent. Located near the north-western corner of Algeria, 432 kilometres (268 miles) from the capital Algiers, it is a major port and the commercial, industrial, and educational centre of western Algeria.

Notre Dame d'Afrique, Algeria




Notre Dame d'Afrique (Our Lady of Africa) is a Catholic basilica in Algiers, Algeria.
The basilica was inaugurated in 1872, after fourteen years of construction.
Notre Dame d'Afrique is located on the north side of Algiers, on a 124 m cliff overlooking the Bay of Algiers.

Tuareg warrior - Tuareg, indigenous Berbers living in the Tassili.
Tassili n'Ajjer, meaning "Plateau of the Rivers", is a mountain range in the Algerian section of the Sahara Desert. It is a vast plateau in south-east Algeria at the borders of Libya and Niger, covering an area of 72,000 km2.
