Bouaké is the second largest city in Côte d'Ivoire. The city is located in the central part of Côte d'Ivoire about 50 kilometres northeast of Lake Kossou, the country's largest lake and about 100 kilometres northeast of Yamoussoukro, the capital of Côte d'Ivoire.
